It’s going to be absolute mayhem — and as a fan of chaos I can’t wait.
But here’s the real kicker: pretty much everyone in the hardware space is putting out top-tier product right now. Honestly, I can’t think of a single major firm that doesn’t have an A+ lineup in almost every category.
Even so, there’s one brand that has a clear runway to completely bully its way into the biggest conversations in golf over the next two to three years: Srixon/Cleveland.

For the past eight or nine years, if you asked any high-end builder or fitter at True Spec, Club Champion, or an independent shop what irons were quietly dominating their fitting bays for mid-to-low handicappers, the answer was almost always Srixon alongside Titleist. They engineered incredible stuff, backed by things like the V-Sole that genuinely helped guys interact with the turf better. Hell, the Z785 may be a first ballot hall of famer.
Yet, from a sports marketing standpoint, they spent a ton of that time punching below their weight class. Sure, they signed fantastic tour players — guys who win majors, play in Ryder Cups, and grind out tough Sundays — but their messaging got stuck in traditional product-feature mode.
They built world-class equipment, but they let the bigger marketing machines dominate the cultural conversation. They were respected, trusted, and played by purists, but they weren’t capturing the lifestyle or mainstream footprint that actually moves retail needles. They were a product-first brand living in a marketing-first world.

Historically, metalwood marketing is where the big brands eat. Srixon needs to aggressively target the free-agent market on tour, get high-profile players putting their big sticks in the bag on national television, and build loud stories around them. They should because they CAN. The driver/fairways are EXCEPTIONAL and worthy of a Pay-Per-View event.
Ride the Underground Momentum: Golf marketing has shifted away from sterile, corporate commercials toward peer-to-peer validation. Right now, Srixon has a wave of organic, underground momentum—that sweet spot where players who usually buy the mainstream giants look at what their better-playing buddies have in their bags and start asking questions. You amplify that grass-roots heat until it’s inescapable. Same trick applies on the Tours. Instead of leading with Irons/Ball etc, lead with “We got you everywhere”
The hardware is already dialed. The fitting bay respect has been earned ten times over. If Srixon pairs that lineup with their fresh visual direction and a fearless, aggressive sports marketing strategy, the rest of the industry is going to blink and realize Srixon didn’t just catch up — they took over the whole block.
It’s not often that a company gets the stars to align for a push like this. My sense is Srixon knows this and 2027 will be the year they demand inclusion in EVERY conversation around your bag.
