Every pre-owned club is thoroughly inspected and vetted by up to four expert assessors, and must achieve a minimum score of 7 out of 10 on Fairway Jockey’s strict grading scale before it’s offered for sale.
The minimum threshold of 7 — which equates to “Good” condition — indicates normal wear and tear like scuffs and scratches from use over 20 to 40 rounds of play. A score of 8 (Very Good) indicates just 10 to 20 rounds of play, with only minimal wear and perhaps a single mark. And a 9 (Like New) is reserved for clubs that are practically brand new, with fewer than five rounds of play.
And keep in mind: these special clubs aren’t off-the-rack items you can find just anywhere. These custom creations were built in Fairway Jockey’s tour-level build shop and often include coveted upgraded shafts from the likes of Fujikura, Graphite Design, Mitsubishi and LA Golf, as well as other unique customizations that aren’t available anywhere else.
