While most golf fans are awaiting a decision from Tiger Woods on whether or not he’ll play in next week’s tournament, there’s an event happening in San Antonio, Texas, that should have your attention.
The Valero Texas Open is celebrating its 100th anniversary this week and Jordan Spieth enters as the defending champion.
For the first time since 2013, four-time major winner Rory McIlroy is teeing it up at TPC San Antonio. The Northern Irishman finished runner-up to Martin Laird in his lone appearance here.
While some players are attempting to earn a spot in next week’s field with a win, many players are using this event as a tune-up for Augusta.
