The offseason might not seem like prime time for improvement, but it’s when many of the best golfers make their biggest gains. With fewer rounds on the calendar, there’s finally time to focus on the things that get pushed aside during the season: speed, tempo, mobility and putting.
Many of the world’s top players rely on training aids to get there, and they often use them in the same places you and I do: the garage, the gym, a sim room, even the backyard or living room. Training aids are here to stay, and there’s no better proof than the sheer number of top players who use them.
Below is a look at some of the most popular training aids you can pick up today at PGA TOUR Superstore.
5 training aids to help your game this offseason:
The Stack System
The Stack has quickly become one of the most popular speed trainers in golf, and it has serious credentials behind it. It was developed by biomechanist Dr. Sasho MacKenzie and Ping engineer Marty Jertson, and U.S. Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick used it to build the speed that helped him win at Brookline. The training club uses five milled weights that combine into 30 settings between 0 and 300 grams, meaning it’s a progressive system that makes you faster over time. The Stack app comes with guided workouts around your speed, with sets, reps and rest times laid out for you. It also tracks your gains over time and includes access to Stack Putting. If you want to go all in, there’s a Stack Radar you can pick up to monitor your speed gains.
Use this training aid if: You’ve lost some distance over the years and want a structured, data-driven plan to get it back.
TheStack Hardware is designed for golfers looking to optimize their swing speed through a highly engineered training system. Product Details: 5 milled Stack weights enable 30 weight combinations between 0g and 300g Dual-purpose weight case / phone stand Highly engineered training club available in Adult (41.5″) or Junior (38.5″) versions (see Fitting Juniors) Stack training requires a speed device that can measure swings without ball impact Recommended to bundle with Stack Radar for Bluetooth connectivity

Why Golf Pressure Plate
Solid contact starts with getting into your lead side before impact. In fact, most fat and thin shots come from missing that move. The Pressure Plate is a platform you stand on that only tilts when you actually shift your pressure, so it removes the guesswork about whether you’re moving correctly or just swaying back and forth. It’s simple to set up in a garage or backyard and gives you clear feedback on every rep. It’s also on sale right now.
Use this training aid if: You fight fat and thin shots, or you feel like you hang back on your trail side through impact.
One of the biggest keys to making consistently powerful contact is learning how to get to your lead side before impact. Hitting the middle of the face, not hitting it fat or thin, compressing the ball… they’re all directly tied to getting into your lead side properly. That’s why we’re introducing the Pressure Plate’s Power Wedge. The Power Wedge provides an incline for your trail foot that teaches you the feel of activating the lower body correctly. The better you can load into your trail leg, the more power you can generate and the easier it is to get to your lead side early (think: throwing a ball). Add speed and consistency to your golf swing by learning how to shift your pressure effectively without swaying Take the guesswork out of your pressure shift – the Pressure Plate will only tilt when you do

GolfForever Training System
A better golf swing often starts with having a body that can actually make one. GolfForever is the Official Golf Fitness System of the PGA TOUR, and Scottie Scheffler has used it as part of his routine since before his first Masters win. The system centers on a 44.5-inch training bar that combines with resistance cords, handles and a door anchor for golf-specific strength and mobility work. Swap on one of the included weighted balls and it becomes a warm-up club. It also comes with 30 free days of the GolfForever app, which builds a daily program around your goals.
Use this training aid if: Stiffness, limited rotation or a sore back is holding you back (no pun intended).

Orange Whip Trainer
The Orange Whip is one of the most trusted tempo trainers in golf, and it has been for years. A counterweighted, flexible shaft and weighted ball on the end make it nearly impossible to swing well if your rhythm is off, so it gives you instant feedback every time. The full-length Trainer most closely mimics the feel of a driver and encourages a patient transition, which helps build lag and cut down on over-the-top moves. It also doubles as a great stretching and warm-up tool. If you’re swinging indoors or in tighter spaces, the Mid-Size version is a great alternative.
Use this training aid if: Your swing gets quick from the top, or you tend to come over the top when you try to swing hard.
Orange Whip Trainer The Trainer is the longest version and most demanding of skill, we recommend the user to be above 5’ 6”. As ability increases, height of user becomes less important, but strength and athletic ability are still important. The Trainer most resembles the motion one feels when swinging a driver. The Trainer will provide the most improvement to range of motion and flexibility, due to the length. The extra length also encourages more patience in the transition to avoid the “quick” swings and the common “over the top” swing. The proper transition leads to the development of Lag. The Trainer will most emphasize a free flowing swing(Ernie Els like) by developing Tempo and Balance. This occurs because the user must wait longer for the momentum to gather. A potential drawback to the Trainer is that it may be difficult to swing for less skilled or shorter golfers. Also, the Trainer is the longest version, therefore most difficult to swing indoors and in confined spaces

PuttOut Premium Pressure Trainer
The PuttOut Pressure Trainer is a small target that does a lot. Its curved ramp sends good putts back to you and lets off-line putts roll off the side. It also teaches speed: a putt struck on line but too firmly returns the same distance it would have rolled past the hole. Hit it perfectly and the ball stays at the top. It works on carpet, a putting mat or the practice green.
Use this training aid if: You leave too many putts short or blow them past the hole and want an affordable, simple way to dial in your speed.
