How to watch Wyndham Championship on Friday
Heading into this week’s regular-season ending Wyndham Championship, Beau Hossler had only one top-10 finish on the season. His FedEx Cup ranking had fallen all the way to 122nd. He’d need a miracle to survive and qualify for the playoffs.
But after a scintillating first round, Hossler’s playoff hopes have improved drastically. The longtime pro, who has never won a PGA Tour event, fired a nine-under 61 at Sedgefield CC to charge into the early lead.
Should he hold on for three more rounds and win, Hossler will lock up a spot in next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Hossler continues his campaign for a must-win on Friday in North Carolina.
