How to watch FedEx St. Jude on Thursday
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler heads into the first playoff event at TPC Southwind with a comfortable lead in the FedEx Cup standings. He certainly doesn’t need a win to survive and qualify for the second and third playoff events.
But that doesn’t mean Scheffler doesn’t want to come out on top at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Far from it. While he always wants to win, Scheffler has extra motivation this week because of a surprising lack of victories so far this season.
Though he’s finished second or tied for second an incredible five times this year, Scheffler has only captured one PGA Tour victory.
On Thursday in Memphis, Scheffler will start to try to fix that fact and put a stranglehold on Player of the Year honors in the process.
