Fresh off his victory last week in the LIV Golf Invitational Series in Portland, Oregon, Branden Grace is again near the top of the leaderboard at the Scottish Open.
The South African started moving day strong, making birdie on three of his first four holes before a bogey on the ninth. He had a clean card on his back nine, making one birdie with eight pars to shoot a 3-under 67.
Grace sits in a tie for ninth at 2-under par, five shots back from Schauffele.
Originally, LIV golfers weren’t going to be allowed to play in the Scottish Open, but suspensions on Ian Poulter, Justin Harding and Adrian Otaegui were stayed, leaving the door open for them to compete.
Harding and Otaegui were in the first pairing off Thursday while Grace and Poulter held that distinction Friday.
