The 2022 Open Championship at the Old Course at St. Andrews has arrived, with top players like Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods vying to win the final major of the year. But what channel is the Open on this week? Here’s everything you need to know to watch the action on TV.
What channel is the Open on?
Conveniently for golf fans hoping to watch the Open Championship on TV or online, coverage of this year’s tournament will be very similar to the coverage of the 2022 U.S. Open last month. The two TV channels where you can watch the action are USA and NBC.
USA will air exclusive coverage of Thursday’s first round and Friday’s second round, with extensive 11-hour telecasts each day to open the tournament. On the weekend, USA will also provide early coverage beginning at 5 a.m. ET on Saturday and 4 a.m. ET on Sunday. NBC will then carry the primary broadcasts for the third and final rounds, beginning at 7 a.m. ET each day.
Some coverage of this week’s Open will be available exclusively online on Peacock. Additionally, Peacock will provide featured group and featured hole coverage all tournament long, which can also be streamed on NBCSports.com. You can check out the full Open Championship streaming schedule here.
