Steph Curry has had a knack for coming through in the clutch throughout his storied NBA career, and he’s been showcasing those superhuman abilities at this week’s American Century Championship. It culminated on Saturday when Curry made an incredible hole-in-one… and followed it up with an even better celebration.

Curry began the second round of the annual celebrity amateur event at Edgewood Tahoe Resort with the lead, having entertained the fans onsite and watching on TV on Friday with an unlikely, walk-off birdie bomb.

But he was saving his best for Saturday. At the short par-3 7th hole, which was playing 146 yards in Round 3, Curry pulled pitching wedge after debating which club to use with his caddie. They chose right.

Curry sent his tee shot sailing high into the air and watched from the tee as it landed right next to the hole, bounced once and then dropped in for an ace.

Caught up in the excitement of the moment, Curry tore off his hat and then took off sprinting down the middle of the hole with his arms spread out beside him.

As the TV announcer quipped, “He may not stop ’til he gets to the Bay Area,” Curry continued his sprint, leaping in the air for a high-flying fist pump when he reached the green, then continued, slapping the flagstick as he passed and rounded the green, still in a full run.

After the round, Curry revealed that it was just the second hole-in-one of his life.

While Curry will never forget his big moment on Saturday, he has a chance to create even more life-long memories on Sunday. The Golden State Warriors star maintained his three-point lead over the rest of the field, so he’ll head into the final round with a golden opportunity to win his first American Century Championship title.

You can watch the final round on NBC from 2:30-6 p.m. ET on Sunday or stream the simulcast on Peacock.
