CROMWELL, Conn. — Some crazy things have happened on a golf course — wild animals on the loose, kids stealing golf carts, even an occasion fall in the water — but what just happened at the Travelers Championship is a first.
On the par-3 16th hole at TPC River Highlands, a group was trying to finish up on the green. All of a sudden, the announcers are startled by something going on in the crowd.
And then, it happened.
An unattended golf cart comes into frame, driving through the golf course with no intention of ever stopping. A poor man tried to stop the inevitable, but he was too late.
The cart does a nosedive into the pond!
This is too good.
