Some unfortunate weather hit Fairfax, California, just north of San Francisco this week, and it affected the Juli Inkster Meadow Club Collegiate in a big way.

The event was shortened to 36 holes, even though the final round was more than halfway complete with a couple teams even being done for the day, when it was suspended because of weather. Stanford was leading after 36 holes and when the tournament was called, giving the Cardinal its second title of the spring.

However, other teams had their finishing spots majorly impacted because of the weather-shortened event.

Sacramento State began the day in ninth, and the team had finished its round and moved up to fourth on the leaderboard when play was called. A five-spot difference means a lot when it comes to rankings and NCAA regional selections.

On the other side of the coin, Oregon State was in fourth after 36 holes but was 22 over halfway through its third round when it was canceled. The Beavers sat T-9.

Where Oregon State benefited from the weather, it hurt Sacramento State.
