TPC Sugarloaf to host APGA Tour Championship in Georgia

The Advocates Professional Golf Association heads to TPC Sugarloaf on Monday and Tuesday as the regular seasons ends with the APGA Tour Championship in Duluth, Georgia.

It’s a close race to the finish for the Lexus Cup points title and player of the year honors. Marcus Byrd leads, with Ryan Alford second in the standings, Landon Lyons in third, Rovonta Young in fourth and 2020 Tour Championship winner Kamaiu Johnson in fifth. Kevin Hall and Willie Mack III also hold out hope for the title.

The APGA Tour Championship offers a $25,000 purse, and the winner of the points race earns a $17,500 bonus pool check.

The field will be tested by the 7,259-yard TPC Sugarloaf course over the 36-hole event. TPC Sugarloaf is one of six PGA Tour-owned TPC courses on the APGA Tour schedule this season.

The APGA Tour Championship is the final Lexus Cup Point Standings competition of the year for the professional golf tour whose mission is to bring greater diversity to golf.
