The Hot Launch E522 series of woods and irons are designed to provide extremely high stability and forgiveness (the “E” stands for extreme spec).

The driver (10.5, 12.5 and 15 degrees) and fairway woods (16, 20, 23, 25, 27 degrees) and hybrids (19, 22, 25 and 28 degrees) all feature the Houdini Sole design. It pushes more of the head’s overall weight back, away from the hitting area, to increase the moment of inertia (MOI) and encourage more spin. That should help slow- and moderate-swinging golfers hit shots with more lift and height for increased distance.

On the inside-facing portion of the hitting area, Tour Edge has designed a unique grid called Diamond Face 2.0. The grid is made of pieces of various thicknesses which Tour Edge says act like miniature trampolines to help produce more ball speed.

To help golfers hit straighter shots, Tour Edge has given the E522 woods and hybrids significant offset to help players square the face through impact more easily. Adding weight to the heel also helps to provide the E522 woods and hybrids a draw bias, reducing the severity of slices. For extra control, the woods and hybrids are also slightly shorter than standard, which should make them easier to control during the swing.

In reality, the E522 irons are miniature hybrids that look like irons. They are hollow, like the woods, to allow the faces to flex more efficiently at the moment of impact and generate more ball speed and distance. The hollow-bodied design also allowed Tour Edge designers to lower the center of gravity (CG) to encourage a higher ball flight. The cup-face design broadens the sweet spot over a large portion of the hitting area, while the offset helps players make solid contact more easily.
