At long last, the final event of the PGA Tour season is finally here. The top 30 in the FedEx Cup standings head to East Lake this week to compete in the Tour Championship, and according to BetMGM odds, Scottie Scheffler is the favorite to take home the crown. Here’s what you need to know.
2022 Tour Championship odds: This week’s favorites
Scottie Scheffler has not registered a win on Tour since his Masters triumph back in April, but with a two-stroke advantage to begin the week, oddsmakers still like his chances to make it win No. 5 on the year, listing him at +200 to win.
BMW Championship winner Patrick Cantlay comes in at No. 2 on the odds board at +350 to win, while Xander Schauffele (+650) and Rory McIlroy (+900) lag behind. Jon Rahm rounds out the top five at +1200.
2022 Tour Championship odds: Long shot of the week
Sahith Theegala has some of the longest odds in the field (+30000) by virtue of beginning the week 10 shots behind the leader, but that doesn’t mean you should count him out. Theegala has 11 rounds of 65 or better on Tour this season, and if he can put a few of those rounds together this week, he might just be able to make up that large gap on the leaderboard.
