It started with Tiger vs. Phil, then Tiger and Peyton Manning vs. Phil and Tom Brady. Three more iterations of The Match followed, and now, the sixth edition of The Match will be the first without a professional golfer in the field.
Instead, four top-tier NFL quarterbacks (Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen) will duke it out at the Wynn Golf Club, the only golf course on the Las Vegas strip. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the match on TV or streaming online.
The Match VI: What you need to know
The four QBs will play a two-man, modified alternate-shot match-play format, with Brady and Rodgers teaming up against Mahomes and Allen. The foursome will play 12 of the Wynn’s 18 holes, the same venue where Brooks and Bryson faced off last fall.
While both Brady and Rogers are seasoned Match veterans, Mahomes and Allen will make their debuts on Wednesday. Will experience give Brady and Rodgers an edge? We’ll find out pretty quickly.
Like previous iterations of the Match, the players will have open mics throughout the entire competition — meaning they’ll have the ability to talk directly to their fellow competitors as well as the broadcast team, which includes Charles Barkley, J.J. Watt, Trevor Immelman, Amanda Renner and Ernie Johnson.
The action kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 1. Find out exactly how you can watch the Match VI live on TV or streaming online below.
