Tiger Tracker: Follow Tiger Woods shot-by-shot Thursday at the 2022 Masters in his return to Augusta National

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Can’t watch Tiger Woods in his first round on Thursday at the 2022 Masters Tournament? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

The 15-time major champion and five-time winner of the green jacket makes his return to competitive golf at Augusta National Golf Club this week a little more than a year after his single-car accident that caused severe damage to his right leg, foot and ankle.

Woods tees off at 11:04 a.m. ET alongside 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen and 2022 Genesis Invitational winner Joaquin Niemann. Follow along below for shot-by-shot updates from his first round of the 2022 Masters at Augusta National.

And we’re off! Tiger’s first tee shot leaks a little to the right but he’s still in the short stuff. Back right pin, 175 yards to the hole, he’s got a shot despite less-than-stellar placement off the tee. Not his best effort there as his ball just finds the front of the green but rolls off the edge. Trying to get up-and-down to the back-right pin, his pitch checks up about 10 feet short of the cup leaving a putt to save par.

The Big Cat is on the range and rocking black shoes and pants with a black sweater and an (emphasis on the) hot pink mock turtleneck shirt today.

Here’s an update from Golfweek’s Steve DiMeglio on his last-minute preparation Wednesday:

Starting a little before 8 a.m. local time on the eve of the Masters, Woods again looked solid with driver in hand and hit every fairway in regulation. He did spin his tee shot back into the pond on 12, got home in two on the par-5 13th, came up just short in two on the par-5 15th. After finding the middle of the green on 16, he failed to skip his ball across the pond on 16.
