Sedgefield Country Club is host once again to the Wyndham Championship, the final regular-season event on the 2020-21 PGA Tour “super season” before the three-tournament FedEx Cup Playoffs.
The par-70 course in Greensboro, North Carolina, will play at 7,131 yards this week. Sedgefield is a Donald Ross layout that first opened in the 1920s.
Hideki Matsuyama, who lost in a playoff at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational on Sunday, joins fellow Olympians Patrick Reed, Tommy Fleetwood and silver medalist Rory Sabbatini in the field. Jim Herman, the social-media “star” of the PIP world, is back as the defending champion.
