It’s time for the weekend at the AT&T Byron Nelson in McKinney, Texas, and that means some in the field are packing their bags.
The 36-hole cut at TPC Craig Ranch came in at 4 under, which makes sense due to its score-ability. K.H. Lee won the last two Byron Nelsons with scores of 26 under and 25 under. Lee made the cut right on the number this time around.
Through the first two days, Texas local Scottie Scheffler holds the lead at 14 under after consecutive 64s. He leads Ryan Palmer and Mackenzie Hughes by a shot.
Here are seven players who missed the 4-under cut at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson.
Riley’s opening-round 4-under 67 set him up nicely for a Friday charge, but a 1-over Day 2 pushed him to the wrong side of the cut line. He has missed back-to-back weekends since his win at the Zurich Classic.
McNealy’s second-round 68 wasn’t enough to make the weekend after opening with a 1-over 72. The Stanford grad hasn’t finished inside the top 30 since the Sony Open (T-7).
Knox’s 1-under effort wasn’t enough to make it to the weekend in Texas. He has missed 10 cuts in his last 11 starts.
Stallings needed a low one after opening with a 70, but he went in the wrong direction shooting a 2-over 73 on Friday. This is his second straight missed cut.
Since tying for seventh at the Puerto Rico Open, Higgs has now missed four cuts in six starts.
Lee opened with a nice 2-under 69 but stumbled on Friday shooting a 75. This is the Aussie’s third straight missed weekend.
Dufner has now missed the weekend in his last four starts.
