Gimme that: Footjoy Hyperflex golf shoes

Welcome to Gimme That, a GOLF.com column where we’ll highlight one notable item we think you might like. Whether it’s an article of clothing, an intriguing electronic device or anything in between, we want to share these items with you because they’ve generated a bit of chatter by our water cooler (or, these days, on our Slack channel). So sit back, scroll down and keep up with the latest gear golf has to offer.

There’s no substitute for tradition, but even tradition is meant to occasionally be broken. In that light comes the Footjoy Hyperflex golf shoe. The Hyperflex is a really unique golf shoe — especially for a brand like Footjoy — who I usually associate with their Premiere Series, and the more “traditional-looking” shoes we see on Tour week after week. But, this shoe combines all the things we love about those — top-of-the-line traction, reliable comfort, stability and support, style — with a more athletic-looking shoe that has a sock-like feel.

They’re made with a proprietary lightweight performance mesh, which offers breathability, but maintains its structure for support throughout your swing and manages to still have a two-year waterproof guarantee. The foam cushioning — also proprietary and up to par (pun intended) with what you’d expect from the brand — is specifically designed to absorb shock as you walk the course. This helps to maintain a comfortable fit and keeps your feet from feeling tired mid-round.

The shoes come in a few different variants. You can opt for the regular Hyperflex, which comes in grey, blue and black and has traditional laces. They also make a boa version for both men and women that are each offered in both grey and black. We’re linking each option below to make it easy for you to shop right from this article.
