South Carolina’s practice facility, the Huskey Dietrich Golf Practice Facility, opened in November of 2016, and it could be getting even better soon.
It’s an 18-acre complex that features a 400-yard driving range and 10 acres of fairways. It also has four Tif-Eagle green complexes with Tif-Grand collars totaling 29,100 square feet, two 419 bermuda tee boxes, two wedge tees, one tight Tahoma wedge tee and one 419 wedge tee and a two-acre fishing pond.
There’s fundraising underway for an on-site 8,000 square foot clubhouse that will feature six hitting bays (four outdoor and two virtual), two putting labs, team locker rooms and a covered patio area with views of the football stadium. There is also hope to build a championship golf course on the land in the future.
