AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2024 odds, course history and picks to win

The PGA Tour is back on the Monterey Peninsula for this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the second signature event of 2024.

The old Crosby Clambake got a facelift this offseason, with amateurs playing on just Thursday and Friday. Monterey Peninsula Country Club was cut from the rotation, meaning the field will play Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill for the first two rounds before the pros battle for the championship at Pebble over the weekend.

Thanks to its elevated status, this year’s field is loaded: World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, Jordan Spieth, Max Homa, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay will all tee it up Thursday morning.

Ludvig Aberg (20/1): T-9

Jason Day (25/1): MC

Keegan Bradley (30/1): T-43

Not a great week. By my calculations, Aberg missed eight putts from inside seven feet over his final 54 holes. A decent showing with the flat-stick and the Swede would’ve had a shot. Oh well. We move on.

2024 Farmers Insurance Open

Since the calendar flipped to 2024, Homa has finished T-14 at The Sentry and T-13 at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Homa loves playing in his home state of California, with four of his six Tour wins coming in the Golden State.

In his last three appearances at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Homa has finished T-7 (2021), T-14 (2020) and T-10 (2019).

Since opening his ’24 with a T-12 finish at The Sentry, Cantlay has finished outside the top 50 in his last two starts.

However, his course history at this event is tough to ignore.

In his last three appearances, Cantlay has finished T-4 (2022), T-3 (2021) and T-11 (2020).

2024 American Express

JT might be back.

Since missing the cut at the 3M Open, Thomas has finished T-12 (Wyndham Championship), 5th (Fortinet Championship), 4th (Nedbank Golf Challenge), 3rd (Hero World Challenge) and T-3 (American Express).

At 25/1, this number is too good to pass up.

I refuse to believe Aberg will putt as badly as he did at Torrey Pines at Pebble this week. So, I’m giving him a second chance on the card.

Despite the short-range misses at the Farmers, Aberg finished the week in a tie for ninth.

His prowess off the tee should play a big role at Pebble, so don’t be surprised if the Swede is back in contention this week.
