There’s the iconic Masters logo, and then there’s the Augusta National Golf Club logo. As Tony Finau put it, “Anything that says Augusta National is more treasured than anything that says Masters on it.”
The cash register won’t stop ringing at the merchandise shop all week at the Masters but if you’re lucky enough to get inside the club’s pro shop, that’s where the ANGC gear is sold. Contestants have access so we asked the pros what are their go-to items in the shop. Hoodies, hats and the club’s pin flag were among the most popular item while the run on Scotty Cameron putters back in the day, which Kevin Streelman and Will Zalatoris highlighted, was a real thing. Here’s the latest answers to the Golfweek Masters Survey.
I’ve never been inside it, so I couldn’t tell you. I’ve never been in any merchandise tent on that property. It’s not my thing.
I got a really nice hoodie I liked last year.
I’m a simple dad hat guy. Black with the ANGC.
A Master pin flag you can get signed by past champions.
I’m simple. I just try to get a new hat every year.
If I take a guest, I always buy that individual a tie. It’s my tradition. For me, I usually buy a shirt or a cashmere sweater.
It’s not my thing but one year I looked at the weather for St. Simon’s (Island) instead of Augusta and when I got there it was like 55 degrees. I didn’t have any cold-weather gear and had to buy a pullover.
The Scotty Cameron putter used to be the hot item. Now the cashmere sweater is the thing I’m trying to grab.
I’ve got a million hats but the ANGC logo speaks for itself.
I always tell people to go in there and get the club logo hat.
The Scotty Cameron putter or head cover was a hot commodity. He only made a few hundred for that Masters and they would go fast.
I don’t ever go in. Once long ago I grabbed a yellow hat but I haven’t gone inside for years.
The gnome. It used to be the teddy bear.
The flag is iconic. I liked the hoodie they started doing when they had the Masters in the fall.
I like the highball whiskey glasses etched with the club logo.
Anything that says Augusta National is more treasured than anything that says Masters on it.
It used to be the Scotty Cameron putter. They don’t sell them anymore. If you’re fortunate to get the ANGC logo, you’re doing it right.
