The 2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta kicks off Thursday, February 22, and we’re picking a long shot who has won four times on the PGA Tour. Here’s our pick, the Mexico Open odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know.
Mexico Open odds: Long-shot bet
For this week’s event in Mexico, we’re picking Charley Hoffman as our long-shot to win at +6600.
Hoffman has been in the news more than normal lately. A week ago at the Genesis Invitational, Hoffman revealed that he had called tournament host Tiger Woods to ask for a spot, but he was turned down. Instead, he played his way into the Genesis field, mostly thanks to a runner-up finish at the WM Phoenix Open two weeks ago.
Hoffman started off strong at Riviera with a 69, but faltered in the final three rounds to finish 50th.
If you put $10 on Hoffman to win and he claims the title, you’ll earn $660. For insurance, consider placing additional small bets on Hoffman to finish top 10 and top 20.
Looking for more long-shot bets for the Mexico Open? Our honorable mentions this week are Mackenzie Hughes (+5500) and S.H. Kim (+6000).
Mexico Open odds: The favorites
Leading the way as the betting favorite in Mexico is Tony Finau (+800), who won last year’s Mexico Open.
Coming in second on the odds list behind Finau is Nicolai Hojgaard at +1600. Emiliano Grillo and Stephan Jaeger are knotted at +2200 odds-to-win.
