Rory McIlroy has resigned from his position of player director on the PGA Tour’s policy board, the PGA Tour announced on Tuesday night.
McIlroy sent in his resignation letter on Tuesday afternoon, citing “professional and personal commitments” as he reasons for needing to step down.
McIlroy’s term, which began in 2022, was supposed to run through 2024.
