After the conclusion of the third round early Sunday afternoon, Justin Rose held the 54-hole lead at 12 under, with Peter Malnati and Kurt Kitayama T-2 at 11 under. On the opposite end of the leaderboard, fan-favorite and past champion Jordan Spieth barely made the cut on the number at 1 under.

The struggle has been real for Simpson as of late. The seven-time winner on Tour has missed the cut in three of his last four starts and finished T-52 the one time he hasn’t gone home early. Simpson shot 71-73-76 to finish at 5 over.

Kuchar ended 2022 with a missed cut at the RSM Classic but bounced back to finish T-7 at the Sony Open in Hawaii his last time out in his first start of 2023. The 44-year-old has consistently played the weekend over his career and has missed more than four cuts just twice dating back to 2010.
Murray was injured in a severe scooter accident ahead of 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship back in October and has eased his way back to golf. After a T-37 at the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic and WD from the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic over the last two weeks on the Korn Ferry Tour, Murray returned to the PGA Tour but came up short this week at Pebble Beach. The 29-year-old is now free to play the loaded Monday qualifier for the WM Phoenix Open.
