After months of discussion around if it would happen and who would play, the upstart LIV Golf Invitational Series finally gets underway this week with the first-ever tournament in London. Here’s what you need to know to watch the inaugural LIV Golf event.
Previewing the LIV Golf London event
On Thursday, June 9, the first shots in the history of the Greg Norman-led LIV Golf Invitational Series will be struck at the Centurion Club in London. Forty-eight players on 12 teams will tee off together in a shotgun start.
So far, the biggest names to commit to playing the tournament are former Masters champions Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia. We still don’t know if we’ll see a couple other big names there (such as Phil Mickelson), but you can check out a full list of the current field here.
The competition will begin at 2 p.m ET, with free live streams available on LIVGolf.com, YouTube and Facebook. According to a press release, coverage of the event will include 60 on-course microphones, including ones worn by players and caddies, and 50 cameras capturing the action.
The lead play-by-play announcer will be Arlo White, who previously helmed Premier League coverage in the United States. He’ll be joined by former Golf Channel/NBC Sports golf broadcaster Jerry Foltz and Dom Boulet. Su-Ann Heng and Troy Mullins will handle on-course commentating duties.

How to watch LIV Golf London event online
The only way to catch LIV Golf’s London event is online. LIVGolf.com, YouTube and Facebook will carry live streaming coverage of the tournament. The coverage begins at 9 a.m. ET/2 p.m. BT. on Thursday.
How to watch LIV Golf London event on TV
As of this writing, the LIV Golf tournament in London will not be available to watch on TV. That comes with one caveat. In a press release, tournament organizers wrote that the tournament “will also be aired live on a global roster of leading premium and free-to-air broadcasters providing coverage in 138 territories around the world.” It’s unclear whether those broadcasters will include any TV channels, but the release stated that “the list of global networks covering the LIV Golf Invitational Series will be made available later this week on LIVGolf.com.”
