It’s Saturday, which means we’re ready for Moving Day at the 2021 Open Championship, where the best in the game will take on Royal St. George’s to battle for position in the final round. Here’s what you need to know to watch the third round on TV or online.
Previewing Open Championship Round 3
In a theme we’ve gotten used to over the years, Jordan Spieth is once again near the top of the leaderboard on a weekend at a major. Spieth hasn’t actually won a major since back in 2017 at this esteemed championship, but he’s contended at the previous three majors in 2021 after turning around his game.
Spieth shot a three-under 67 on Friday at Royal St. George’s to claim sole possession of third place at the halfway point of the 2021 Open Championship. He’s three shots behind leader Louis Oosthuizen heading into the final 36 holes, with another major winner, Collin Morikawa, in second at nine under, setting up what should be a thrilling third round.
On Saturday Spieth will start his round in the second-to-last pairing at 10:45 a.m. ET alongside Dylan Frittelli. Oosthuizen and Morikawa will tee off in the next and final pairing at 10:55 a.m. ET.
The coverage will start early Saturday morning, though not quite as early as on Thursday and Friday. Golf Channel will air the opening coverage of Round 3 beginning at 5 a.m. ET.
