USGA announces three future championships to be held at Atlanta Athletic Club

The USGA is bound for the ATL.

On Tuesday the USGA announced Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Georgia, will host the 2025 U.S. Girls’ Junior, 2030 U.S. Amateur and 2035 U.S. Women’s Amateur championships, adding to the club’s deep history with the organization

“We are thrilled to return to Atlanta Athletic Club to conduct these three USGA championships,” said Mark Hill, USGA senior managing director, Championships. “The USGA is looking forward to continuing our strong relationship with this famed club, which has been home to so many memorable USGA championships and legendary champions.”

Atlanta Athletic Club, founded in 1898, has hosted six previous USGA championships: the 2014 U.S. Amateur, the 2002 U.S. Junior Amateur, the 1990 U.S. Women’s Open, the 1984 U.S. Mid-Amateur, the 1976 U.S. Open and the 1950 U.S. Women’s Amateur, which was held on its original course, now known as East Lake Golf Club. The club has also hosted the Ryder Cup (1963), three PGA Championships (1981, 2001 and 2011) and the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
