Gimme That: This is the best golf bag I’ve ever owned

I’ve gone through a number of golf bags throughout my career, but the STITCH SL2 is easily the best I’ve ever owned.

Welcome to Gimme That, a GOLF.com column where we’ll highlight one notable item we think you might like. Whether it’s an article of clothing, an intriguing electronic device or anything in between, we want to share these items with you because they’ve generated a bit of chatter by our water cooler (or, these days, on our Slack channel). So sit back, scroll down and keep up with the latest gear golf has to offer.

When it comes to what I look for in a golf bag, I’ve got a simple set of criteria. Most importantly, it needs to be light. I walk >80 percent of my rounds, and I don’t want to schlep around any extra weight. The bag also needs to be durable. I travel a good bit with my sticks, and my bag needs to be durable enough to withstand some bumps and bruises. Finally, I want my bag to be stylish. If you look good, you play good — and that includes your golf bag.

Lucky for me, the STITCH SL2 delivers on all three criteria. The bag weighs in at just 64 oz., which is perfect for the habitual walker. The proprietary STITCH Touring Fabric is built for durability so I never have to worry when I hand my bag to the gate agent. And the aesthetics speak for themselves. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better-looking bag than this one.

It’s the best bag I’ve ever owed.
