We’ve reached the final round of play at the 2021 American Century Championship in Tahoe, Calif. Below, find everything you need to know about tournament purse, payout information and winner’s share.

American Century Championship preview

It is unquestionably one of the biggest-name fields in all of golf … if not quite the finest caliber of golf. Sir Charles Barkley, Larry Fitzgerald and of course, Justin Timberlake highlight just a handful of the loaded group of superstars that have made their way to Edgewood Golf Course in Tahoe, Calif. for this year’s American Century Championship.

The tournament, which is held annually, is contested in a Stableford format, meaning players are assigned point values for their respective performances on individual holes. The better the score relative to one’s handicap, the higher their overall “point” total. At the end of the tournament, the player with the highest overall point score is declared the winner.

John Smoltz holds the lead heading into the turn on Sunday’s final round. The former Cy Young winner and baseball hall-of-famer is also a scratch golfer, competing in the U.S. Senior Open several years ago. Smoltz will look to hold off a group headlined by Tony Romo and Annika Sorenstam on Sunday. If he’s able to cling to his lead, Smoltz will win a large sum of the American Century Championship’s $600,000 purse. Traditionally, competitors in the tournament will donate their winnings to charity, raising some $5.5 million over the years.

Below, find top-5 payout information, including winner’s share, for the ACC’s $600,000 purse; viewers can catch the action all afternoon on NBC.
