Ping Scottsdale TEC putters already have a major in their first year in the market. Now there are two more models.
Ping is adding to the trending white putter line with two new hosel configurations available in the U.S. market — the Ally Blue H and the Ketsch 4 — rounding out the line with now five models. At the same time, the company is also unveiling a new PLD Milled SE DZB putter.
The Scottsdale TEC line has been one of the most successful putter lines launched this year, with Wyndham Clark using a Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset CB to win twice this season, including the U.S. Open.
In May, Kristoffer Reitan used an Ally Blue H model to win the Truist Championship that was officially designated as a PLD putter, but had the same white finish, steel sole plate and PEBAX insert as the Scottsdale TEC line.
That Ally Blue H model is one of the models being released this week by Ping. The head shape is the same as the square mid-mallet that Clark uses in the Onset configuration, but with a 90-degree Anser-style hosel that should feel familiar to many Anser and blade putter users.
Ping said the Anser-style hosel’s full shaft of offset allows for an unobstructed view of the Scottsdale TEC’s Eye-Q technology. The Eye-Q technology is the combination of the white top and a full-length black sightline with a dot right at the top rail. The alignment aid is specifically designed to help keep the eye still during the stroke.
Meanwhile, the Ketsch shape was also currently available in the Onset configuration, but with 15 degrees of toe hang compared to the 5 degrees of the Ally Blue Onset. The new Ketsch 4 configuration adopts the Anser 4-style flow neck hosel to increase toe flow. Ping says the modification is a common request from Tour pros.
In addition to the full-length line with the sight dot, the Ketsch 4 also has two short ball-width lines to frame the golf ball and make alignment easier.
With the flow neck, the Ketsch 4 fits Ping’s “Strong Arc” stroke type, while the Ally Blue H is for “Slight Arc” putters.
PLD Milled DZB

Meanwhile, the PLD Milled DZB is a more traditional flared high-toe blade shape with an Anser-style hosel.
Ping says the DZB is aimed at blending the look and feel of Ping’s history of blade putters with present-day manufacturing advantages and techniques in a 100 percent milled construction.
While the shape is a throwback, the top rail features an Eye Q alignment aid short line, again to focus the eye during the putting stroke, just like the Scottsdale TEC line.
The Anser-style hosel makes the DZB for “Slight Arc” users.
Price and Availability
The full-shaft offset allows for clear view of new Eye Q Technology (a new alignment-aid feature designed to promote more consistent gaze patterns), to make aim and alignment far easier. The 90-degrees angle of the Anser style hosel visually complements the square footprint of the Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue H. The PEBAX insert delivers a softer feel and consistent distance control.
