FedEx St. Jude Round 1 tee times: What to know
This week, Rory McIlroy is making only his eighth non-major PGA Tour start of the 2026 season. While he’s still World No. 2, McIlroy has fallen to 12th in the FedEx Cup standings as the playoffs begin in Memphis.
There’s also another unlikely stat from Rory’s 2026 season with three events to go: he’s only won a single tournament.
That’s something that McIlroy’s primary rival for the FedEx Cup, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, shares in common with the reigning Masters champion.
Both players are looking for their second victories of the year, a necessary feat to separate themselves from a large pack of pros in the running for Player of the Year.
McIlroy and Scheffler will get the tournament started together on Thursday, teeing off in the same pairing at 9:30 a.m. ET.
