The PGA Tour’s season-opening 2024 Sentry begins this week at Kapalua in Hawaii, and we’re picking a player who won twice last year as our long-shot pick. Here’s our pick, The Sentry odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know.
The Sentry odds: Long-shot bet
The PGA Tour is back in action this week at The Sentry at Kapalua, formerly known as the Tournament of Champions, and we’re picking a player who won two times last year as our long shot to win: Keegan Bradley.
Bradley comes into the week with odds to win of +6600, and with a limited field of 59 players, he’s a hard long shot to pass up. Bradley won the Zozo Championship and the Travelers Championship in 2023, and he collected four other top-10 finishes to go along with the Ws.
The Vermont native finished strong last season with a T9 at the Tour Championship, then finished T19 at the Zozo and T13 at the Hero World Challenge in December.
Should Bradley pull off his third victory in just over a year on Sunday at Kapalua, you could turn a $10 bet into $660. For insurance, consider additional bets for Bradley to finish top 10 and top 20.
Looking for more long-shot bets for The Sentry? Our honorable mentions this week are Rickie Fowler (+5000) and Tommy Fleetwood (+5000).
The Sentry odds: The favorites
Aside from defending champion Jon Rahm, who joined LIV Golf last month, the 2023 Sentry field features all the top players on the PGA Tour from last year, including World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who begins the week as the betting favorite with +500 odds to win.
Rory McIlroy follows close behind in second at +650, with Viktor Hovland coming in third with odds to win of +750.
You can see the top 15 in The Sentry betting odds as of Tuesday afternoon below, or head over to BetMGM to see the full list of odds and bets for this week.
