The 2024 Masters is over, but the PGA Tour season continues this week with the 2024 RBC Heritage, where we’re picking a Masters contender as our long shot to win. Here’s our pick, the RBC Heritage odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know.
RBC Heritage odds: Long-shot bet
Our long-shot pick for this week’s Tour event at Harbour Town Golf Links is Australian pro Cam Davis, who comes into the week with +6600 odds-to-win.
Davis, 29, has one PGA Tour win on his resume, which came at the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic. But what’s most intriguing about Davis is what he did last week.
At the 2024 Masters, in only his second appearance at Augusta National, Davis stayed on the edge of contention for much of the week, eventually finishing T12 at one over. It represented his second-best major finish, topped only by his T4 at last year’s PGA Championship.
It’s always a good idea to ride the hot hand, and that’s exactly what we’re doing this week.
If you put $10 on Davis to win and he pulls it off, you’ll earn $660. For insurance, consider placing additional small bets on Davis to finish top 10 and top 20.
Looking for more long-shot bets for the RBC Heritage? Our honorable mentions this week are Taylor Moore (+6600) and J.T. Poston (+6600).
RBC Heritage odds: The favorites
As long as freshly-minted 2024 Masters champion Scottie Scheffler is in the field, he’ll be the prohibitive favorite. And that’s the case this week, with Scheffler’s odds-to-win sitting at +400 to start the week.
He’s followed by two other Masters contenders, Xander Schauffele (+1100) and runner-up Ludvig Aberg (+1200). Four-time major champion Rory McIlroy comes into the week with odds-to-win matching Aberg’s.
