All the stars are in Bay Hill for the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational, but we’re picking a long shot has two PGA Tour wins and is hot on the trail of a third. Here’s our pick, the Arnold Palmer Invitational odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know.
Arnold Palmer Invitational odds: Long-shot bet
Amid a stacked field and stacked purse for this week’s Signature Event at Bay Hill, we’re picking South African pro Erik van Rooyen as our long shot at +8000 odds to win.
A two-time PGA Tour winner, van Rooyen has proven himself a capable champion, most recently in November at the World Wide Technology Championship.
And the 34-year-old pro is currently on a hot streak. Two weeks ago he finished T8 at the Mexico Open at Vidanta, and then he earned a runner-up at last week’s Cognizant Classic at The Palm Beaches, which included a final-round 63.
If you put $10 on van Rooyen to win and he pulls it off, you’ll earn $800. For insurance, consider placing additional small bets on van Rooyen to finish top 10 and top 20.
Looking for more long-shot bets for the Arnold Palmer Invitational? Our honorable mentions this week are Chris Kirk (+6000) and Kurt Kitayama (+6600).
