This week the PGA Tour travels across the Pacific to Japan for the 2023 Zozo Championship, and we’re picking the same long shot as last week to pull off an unlikely win. Here’s our pick, the Zozo Championship odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know for the week.

Zozo Championship odds: Long-shot bet

For this week’s long-shot pick, we’re running it back and picking the same player we tapped last week, Cameron Champ. However, Champ’s odds-to-win have improved from last week to +5000, and for good reason.

Beginning last week at +6600, Champ contended the first two days at the Shriners Children’s Open and eventually finished T18. It was his second-straight solid start after finishing T9 at the Sanderson Farms Championship.

While Champ’s game is clearly coming around after a rough reason, he also has some quality experience at the Zozo Championship. Last year, Champ finished 8th in Japan, four shots behind winner Keegan Bradley.

If you bet $10 on Champ to win and he comes through, you’ll take home $500. For additional bets, consider putting small wagers on Champ to finish top 10 and top 20.

Looking for more long-shot picks for the Zozo Championship? Our honorable-mention long shots for the week are Nick Taylor (+5000) and Keith Mitchell (+6600).

Zozo Championship odds: The favorites

The of the odds-to-win list for the Zozo Championship features a few players from the U.S. Ryder Cup team. Xander Schauffele leads the way with +750 odds-to-win, followed by teammate Collin Morikawa at +1000.

Fellow Ryder Cupper Rickie Fowler is among those tied at +1600, including former Zozo champion Hideki Matsuyama. Defending champion Keegan Bradley comes in at +2000.

How last week’s long shot fared

As previously mentioned, Champ was our long-shot last week as well, with odds-to-win of +6600. And the pick paid off.

Champ was right in the mix at the top of the leaderboard following the first two rounds, only to fall out of contention with a disappointing 74 in Saturday’s third round. Still, he rallied on Sunday with a 65 to finish T18, which registers as our 12th top-20 hit of the season.
