The 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play begins Wednesday, March 23, at Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.

WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play preview

This week golf fans will witness the only match play event on the PGA Tour, and the game’s best have gathered in Austin to take their shot at the $2.1 million winner’s check.

The format for the event is as follows: 64 players are placed in 16 four-player groups. Over the course of the first three days, players will compete against other pros in their group in 18-hole matches. The winner of each group then advances to the 16-man, single-elimination bracket on the weekend.

World No. 1 Jon Rahm is among those vying for the title, along with the rest of the Top 5 in the Official World Golf Ranking, while defending champion Billy Horschel will try to become the second-straight PGA Tour winner to successfully defend his title as Sam Burns did last week.
