The PGA Tour is headed to the great white north for the first time since 2019 thanks to the global crisis known as COVID-19. Rory McIlroy won by seven shots that year and was a closing birdie away from posting 59 in the final round.
McIlroy is one of several big names tuning up in Canada before heading to Massachusetts for next week’s U.S. Open. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who most recently lost in a playoff to Sam Burns at the Charles Schwab, Justin Thomas, Cameron Smith, Shane Lowry, and Tony Finau are just a few of the stars teeing it up at St. George’s.

Reed had a tough weekend at The Memorial, shooting a combined 4 over the last two days. However, he’s starting to flash.
Three straight weekends and a T-7 at the Charles Schwab point to a return to form.

If the Canadian Open was at the same venue as 2019, McIlroy would’ve been the first name on this list. He made that golf course his playground a few years ago.
However, that’s not the case.
You have to think this stretch of golf has to pay off at some point. His worst finish since missing the weekend at the Valero is T-18 (Memorial) and he’s accumulated three top 10s.
