The third round of the 2022 Open Championship begins early Saturday morning, July 16, at the Old Course at St. Andrews. Round 3 Open tee times will be determined upon the completion of play Friday night. Once they are released they will be reproduced at the bottom of this post. Until then, we can roughly predict what Saturday’s tee times will be.
Predicting Open Round 3 tee times
Though we’ll have to wait until after the final putt drops in the second round to see the official tee times for Saturday, we can look to the past to get a good idea of when they will fall.
Back at last year’s 2021 Open Championship at Royal St. George’s, amateur Yuxin Lin was the first player to start Saturday’s third round, teeing off at 4:20 a.m. ET. The final pairing of Louis Oosthuizen and eventual champion Collin Morikawa teed off at 10:55 a.m. ET.
There’s only a one-hour time difference between Fife, Scotland, home of the Old Course, and Kent, England, where Royal St. George’s resides, so we can expect Saturday tee times at this year’s Open to fall into a similar window as last year.
