The first round of the 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play begins early Wednesday morning in Austin, Texas. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.

Previewing Match Play Round 1

One of the biggest stories of the last two years on the PGA Tour is without a doubt Collin Morikawa’s meteoric rise to the elite ranks. The 25-year-old star already has five wins on Tour, including two major championship victories. In his Ryder Cup debut last fall at Whistling Straits, Morikawa dominated the match play format to the tune of 3.5 points.

He’ll need to draw on all of those good match play memories for this week’s event. Should he advance to the finals, he’ll play a total of seven matches, but first he needs to advance past group play over the first three days.

For Wednesday’s opening round, Morikawa will face off against Robert MacIntyre starting at 12:54 p.m. ET. You can stream the entire first round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+, or watch the telecast on Golf Channel.
