2021 Evian Championship final round preview

After a hefty lead at the 54-hole mark, Jeongeun Lee6 is in trouble on Sunday at the 2021 Evian Championship. Lee6, who led by five strokes heading into Sunday’s final round, trails coming into the home stretch at the fourth of five women’s majors on the 2021 schedule.

In her place has stepped a pair of contenders — Minjee Lee and Yealimi Noah — who have leapfrogged Lee6 on Sunday and stepped into first and second place respectively. Of course, Lee and Noah are each looking for their first-ever major championship, while Lee6 won the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open.

Yealimi Noah is a major underdog story heading into the week. Only 19 years old, she’s looking to win her first major championship before acquiring her driver’s license. On the other hand, Lee is a member of the LPGA Tour’s old guard of sorts, having claimed five LPGA Tour wins and eight professional victories to date, but remaining in the hunt for her elusive first major championship.

Below, find all the information, including payout and winner’s share, for the Evian Championship’s $4.5 million purse; you can catch the action on Sunday on CNBC.
