2021 BMW Championship live coverage: How to watch Round 3 on Saturday

The 2021 BMW Championship is heating up, with several star players in contention heading into Round 3 on Saturday. Here’s what you need to know to watch the third round on TV or online.

Previewing BMW Championship Round 3

Byrson DeChambeau slammed on the gas pedal on Friday at the BMW Championship. The star pro, who opened with a 68 on Thursday, took it to another level in the second round, shooting a scorching 12-under 60 to move into the lead, narrowly missing a short putt for 59 on the 18th green. Patrick Cantlay is one shot back, but there is one player who can still top Bryson before Round 3 begins.

World No. 1 Jon Rahm was seven under on the day, 15 under for the tournament, when the second round was suspended due to darkness Friday night after thunderstorms earlier in the day delayed play. Rahm has a mid-length birdie putt lined up on the par-5 16th, where he will resume his round at 8:30 a.m. ET Saturday morning. He just needs on birdie on his last three holes to tie for the lead, or two to take it.

If Rahm can make it happen, he’ll be projected into 1st place in the FedEx Cup standings, and if not, Bryson will be. Once Rahm and the remainder of the players on the course complete their second rounds Saturday morning, Round 3 will begin with players teeing off split tees in threesomes beginning around 10:30 a.m. ET. The final pairing will likely tee off just before 1 p.m. ET.

Golf Channel and NBC will split third round TV coverage of the 2021 BMW Championship. Golf Channel opens the action from 1-3 p.m. ET, followed by the NBC broadcast from 3-6 p.m. ET on Saturday.
